Volunteer and leadership
Wholehearted leadership and service
At Kristin, leadership and service go hand in hand. As an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, we have a commitment to service and developing students who will strive to make a positive difference in the world.
Through leadership roles and active community-minded groups, students learn to support their peers and engage with activities to benefit their school and the wider community.
Leadership and service roles are structured to ensure that they provide learning and growth to complement the curriculum. From the Primary Years Programme (PYP) Exhibition in Year 6 to the Community Project in our Middle School and the Creativity, Action and Service (CAS) projects in the IB Diploma Programme, our students take responsibility for their role in our local and global community, making a real and measurable difference.
Our service leadership programmes
We have developed ongoing and meaningful partnerships with many community organisations that support different needs in our community, including:
- Ronald McDonald House
- Wairau Special Valley School
- Restoring Rosedale Park.
