Kristin’s Dove Scholarships reflect our commitment to the legacy of our founding families: to provide educational opportunities for students who may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience a Kristin education.

Scholarships are offered to prospective students who would like to join Kristin in Years 9 – 13.
Important information regarding 2027 applications
- Dove Scholarship applications are now open for prospective students wanting to join in 2027 and beyond.
- Dove Scholarship applications for 2027 will close on 31 March 2026.
- To apply for a Dove Scholarship, please complete the online application form (below).
- All applicants will be notified via email after the closing date whether they have been shortlisted for a Dove Scholarship.
About Dove Scholarships
Dove Scholarships reflect Kristin’s commitment to the legacy of our founding families and are one way we live out our values of Progress with Vision, Integrity and Love.
Each of our Dove Scholarships is underpinned by the original intent of our founding families: to provide students who may not otherwise experience a Kristin education to have the opportunity to join and enhance our school community.
We have made some changes to our Dove Scholarship programme to ensure our application process is transparent, easy to understand and, above all, fair.
In 2027, we are delighted to offer four distinct Dove Scholarship categories for families considering a Kristin education for their children:
- Dove Sports Scholarships: Students who demonstrate potential in a specific sport or show emerging talent as a sportsperson.
- Dove Performing Arts Scholarships: Students who demonstrate potential in a specific Performing Arts discipline or show emerging talent as a musician/dancer/performer.
- Dove Foundation Scholarships: Awarded to students whose parents or grandparents are alumni of the school but may not otherwise have an opportunity to attend themselves.
- Dove Emerging Leaders Scholarships: Awarded to students who demonstrate leadership potential or who would add something unique to our school community.

Dove Scholarship categories
Sports
Dove Sports Scholarships
- Available for students entering Years 9-13.
- This Scholarship has a maximum value of 50% of the tuition fees.
- The Scholarship will be renewed for the duration of the student’s time at Kristin, subject to the student meeting the scholarship requirements each year.
Dove Sports Scholarships are offered to well-rounded individuals whose character aligns with Kristin's values and who demonstrate talent in their chosen sport(s). We are looking for students who can demonstrate their abilities and articulate their goals and aspirations in their chosen sport(s).
Your child may be a good fit for this scholarship if they:
- Demonstrate talent in their chosen sport(s).
- Articulate aspirational hopes for themselves and their future in their chosen sport.
- Demonstrate personal values and character that align with Kristin's values.
- Show potential to add vibrancy and/or diversity to our school community.
Performing Arts
Dove Performing Arts Scholarships
- Available for students entering Years 9-13.
- This Scholarship has a maximum value of 50% of the tuition fees.
- The Scholarship will be renewed for the duration of the student’s time at Kristin, subject to the student meeting the scholarship requirements each year.
Dove Performing Arts Scholarships are offered to well-rounded individuals whose character aligns with Kristin's values and who demonstrate talent in a specific Performing Arts discipline. Applicants must be able to demonstrate their ability in at least one of the following categories: Music, Drama, Dance, or Musical Theatre. They must also be able to express clear artistic goals and motivations for pursuing their chosen discipline.
Your child may be a good fit for this scholarship if they:
- Demonstrate talent in their chosen performing art discipline(s), including Music, Drama, Dance, or Musical Theatre.
- Articulate aspirational hopes for themselves and their future in their chosen discipline.
- Demonstrate personal values and character that align with Kristin's values.
- Show potential to add vibrancy and/or diversity to our school community.
Alumni and Foundation Families
Dove Foundation Scholarships
- Available for students entering Years 9-13.
- This Scholarship has a maximum value of 50% of the tuition fees.
- The Scholarship will be renewed for the duration of the student’s time at Kristin, subject to the student meeting the scholarship requirements each year.
Dove Foundation Scholarships are awarded to students whose parents or grandparents are Kristin Alumni. These scholarships are intended to offer students, who may not otherwise have the opportunity, to attend Kristin and continue their family’s legacy and association with the school.
Your child may be a good fit for this scholarship if they:
- Are able to provide evidence that at least one parent or grandparent is an alumnus of Kristin.
- Are able to articulate aspirational hopes for themselves and their future, as well as what they would bring to the school community.
- Demonstrate personal values and character that align with Kristin's values.
- Show potential to add vibrancy and/or diversity to our school community.
Leadership
Dove Emerging Leaders Scholarships
- Available for students entering Years 9-13.
- This Scholarship has a maximum value of 50% of the tuition fees.
- The Scholarship will be renewed for the duration of the student’s time at Kristin, subject to the student meeting the scholarship requirements each year.
Awarded to students who demonstrate leadership potential or who would add something unique to the school community. Leadership can be demonstrated in many different ways. Applicants must demonstrate their track record of impact as a leader, whether in their local community or in their chosen extracurricular activities.
Your child may be a good fit for this scholarship if they:
- Are able to demonstrate evidence of their leadership abilities within their community or extracurricular activities.
- Are able to articulate aspirational hopes for themselves and their future, as well as what they would bring to the school community.
- Demonstrate personal values and character that align with Kristin's values.
- Show potential to add vibrancy and/or diversity to our school community.

- Scholarships are only open to New Zealand Citizens or Permanent Residents.
- Scholarships are only available to new students entering Kristin at Year 9 – 13.
- Shortlisted applicants and parents will be required to attend an interview with the Scholarship Committee.
- Scholarship families invited to interview may be required to provide information on their financial circumstances. This could include the completion of a ‘Disclosure of Financial Position’.
- Scholarship eligibility is reviewed annually based on the recipient's commitment and performance. We reserve the right to withdraw the scholarship if these standards are not maintained or if the recipient no longer meets the core scholarship criteria.
- All scholarship decisions are final. Due to the volume of applicants, we cannot enter into discussions or appeals once a selection has been made.
- If no scholarship applicants meet the candidate criteria, Kristin reserves the right not to award any scholarships for that year.
