In a thrilling final against Westlake Girls’ High School last Thursday, the Kristin Premier Girls’ Basketball team delivered an exceptional performance to claim the North Harbour U19 Girls’ League championship title with an incredible 54–48 victory.

The match was an absolute battle from the opening tip-off, with the scoreboard fluctuating continuously as neither side gave an inch. Faced with a relentless full-court press from a formidable Westlake side, our Kristin girls executed under pressure, breaking the defence cleanly and capitalising on fast-break opportunities to score consistently.

 

Courtney Wainhouse (Year 11) led the scoring for Kristin with a huge 19 points, with Charliee Hawkings (Year 13) adding 14 points and Tarla Davies (Year 9) notching up an important 10 points, as well as others sinking buckets to bolster the total. 

 

Down the stretch, in the defining high-pressure moments of the fourth quarter, Kristin's composure and total team effort sealed a brilliant championship win.
