Our Talent: Mata Mataio

Mata Mataio

Mata is a well-loved member of our Kristin community, with connections across all the years having taught Te Reo across the whole school. Mata loves languages and is either fluent or very capable in many. He runs the Polynesian Club (which attends Polyfest every year) and assists with Kapa haka.

Musically gifted, Mata also enjoys singing and playing his ukulele and guitar in class, on camp and in assemblies. Passionate about sports, he is involved in many co-curricular activities like surfing and golf. He loves the outdoors and attends Year 7 camp each year as a familiar face for the students as they transition into Middle School.
