Melbourne - Year 7-8 Students

Melbourne

The bi-annual Australia Experience to Melbourne is an opportunity for our Year 7 and 8 students to explore what is cited as the world's most liveable city.

This opportunity to travel internationally allows the students to involve themselves in a wide variety of Australian experiences. Activities span science, indigenous culture, sport, history, contemporary life and culture, geography and nature. During the week, students are encouraged to become independent whilst developing important leadership skills. Other objectives of the trip are to grow global citizens, cultural diversity, historical links with our nearest neighbour, appreciation of the unique flora and fauna of Australia, as well as further developing balanced, principled and lifelong learners.

"The Melbourne experience is a unique opportunity to make new friends and enjoy Melbourne's rich culture. My favourite part of this whole trip was the day at Sovereign Hill, where we travelled back in time to 1852 to learn about what life would have been like. This included interesting processes to discover and purify gold."  – Year 8 student
