Leadership & Service
At Kristin, leadership and service are two sides of the same coin. Students in the Junior, Middle and Senior Schools are presented with a myriad of opportunities to serve their community and support their peers through a range of leadership roles and service groups.
In the Senior School, the opportunity for students to learn and put into practice leadership skills is one of the most important aspects of their Kristin experience. Leadership at Kristin comes in many forms and the Senior School promises to find a role for all students who demonstrate a desire to lead. These range from roles for Prefects, Leadership Committees and House Captains, to support roles on Middle and Senior School camps, coaching and captaincy of sport teams and community projects.
Students who wish to assume a leadership role at Kristin must understand that in doing so, they are committing themselves to working for other people, rather than for their own personal glory.
"Being a leader in the Senior School is about holding doors open for others around the school. With a culture and attitude of service, eventually doors begin to be opened for you." - Lewis Fry, Head Boy 2010
