ELA Classes Visit to Settlers
On 26 June, the Year 7 and 8 ELA classes visited Settlers retirement village in Albany. We all interviewed some of the residents about their experiences when they were growing up. In our unit this term we have been learning about “Where would we be without family” and we wanted to compare our own experiences to family life in the past. We were lucky to have a tour around the buildings and saw some of the amazing facilities available there. After that we shared some games with the residents and had afternoon tea. We really enjoyed learning about the past and practising our English by chatting with the residents at the village and hearing their stories.
