University of Cambridge offer for Cecilia Lin

Congratulations to Cecilia Lin (Class of 2025), who has received many amazing offers from prestigious universities in the United Kingdom.
Cecilia, who was a Head Prefect at Kristin in 2024/25, has been offered a place to study Human, Social and Political Sciences at the world-renowned University of Cambridge.
As well as this fantastic opportunity to study at Cambridge, Cecilia has also been offered places to study Politics, Philosophy and Economics at King's College London and the University of Edinburgh. She has also received an offer to study Political Science at the London School of Economics.
“I feel very fortunate not only to have been given this opportunity, but to have received so much support from Mrs Brosnahan and my teachers throughout the application process.
“Although I’m still deciding my next steps, I’m excited to explore the humanities at university and hope to pursue public policy or international relations in the future. I look forward to taking the lessons I've learned at Kristin along on my journey,” says Cecilia.
As well as being an exceptional leader at Kristin, Cecilia founded the Pacific Sister Project – a youth-led initiative to support girls and young women living in communities vulnerable to the impacts of drug addiction and public health challenges.
Last year, Cecilia was a Youth MP of Whangaparāoa, representing Hon. Mark Mitchell, a role which included her giving a speech about ‘youth drug addiction and the need for culturally sensitive mental health services to address generational patterns of vulnerability’ at the New Zealand Youth Parliament in Wellington.
Kristin is incredibly proud of Cecilia; she is very deserving of these university opportunities, and we look forward to following her post-Kristin journey.
