Netball

Netball is one of the school's largest and developing sports and is played both socially and competitively from Year 2-13. Available primarily as a winter sport, pre-season trainings and trials begin early in Term 1 and the season concludes at the end of Term 3.
Spring Netball is played in Term 4 and is a popular social avenue for students to experience Netball.
Netball caters for all ages and levels from Year 2 through to Senior teams. Experienced and new players are welcome.

Trials
Junior School
Year 2: No Trial (Allocated teams)
Year 3-4: No Trial (Allocated teams)
Year 5-6: Tuesday 12 March (12.45pm-1.25pm) and Tuesday 6 March (12.45pm-1.25pm) Note: Year 5-6 players must wear PE uniform and suitable footwear for trials.

Please Note:
Players are required to attend both trial dates. Players must wear suitable active wear and footwear. Please do not wear netball dresses. Players must bring water and snacks.
Pre-season Training
Pre-season programmes will run in Term 1.
Junior School
Year 7 and 8
Season/Competition
Grading starts on 30 April for the Premier Team. Intermediate grading starts on the 2 May and Senior grading starts on the 4 May. Please note this is Week 3 of the Term 1 holidays.
Trainings for all teams will be at Kristin School, either before or after school on weekdays. The coach will determine the most suitable day and time. Training will commence the week starting 25 March.
There is no play on Queen's Birthday Weekend. Games will be played in Week 3 of the end of Term 1 and Term 2 holidays. Players must be available for these games.

Uniform
All players are required to purchase the Netball dress. Netball dresses can be ordered via the Netball Registration Form. Netball dress sizes replicated the sizing for the school PE kit tshirt. If you would like to try a dress on for sizing, these will be available on Monday 11 February and Tuesday 12 February at morning tea in the Sports Office.
Umpiring
Kristin has a strong umpire development programme. All players and non-players, that are interested in umpiring, are coached and mentored through the netball New Zealand umpire pathway. Getting involved in umpiring is a fantastic way to improve a players understanding of the game. So grab a whistle and join the team in white. Anyone interested in umpiring can register using the registration form.
Junior Badge Theory day will be held at Kristin on Saturday 23 March.
Cost
Fees per player cover the running costs of the sport for the season. Fees are an approximate guide dependent on the number of trainings per week, additional tournaments etc.
Fees will be billed at the beginning of the season.
Year 7/8 $220
Year 9 / 1 training per week - $280 / 2 trainings per week - $350
Senior teams / 1 training per week - $280 / 2 trainings per week - $350
