Important Announcement for Kristin Families

We are delighted to announce that the appointments for two critical senior leadership positions at Kristin School have been finalised. 

The successful candidate for the position of Middle School Principal is Mr Dave Scott. Dave is currently the Deputy Principal of Scots College Middle School in Wellington. Dave has extensive experience in a number of independent schools spanning New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom, both in co-educational and single-sex settings. He has a strong service ethic and has been involved in a diverse range of fundraising and development initiatives. He is an experienced and innovative educator who has a proven track record of not only generating creative ideas but also implementing new initiatives that directly improve student learning outcomes. A talented athlete himself, Dave is a passionate supporter of all co-curricular programmes and has a strong belief and considerable experience in outdoor education. Dave will be joining the Kristin family along with his wife Tiffany and their two children, Fergus (Year 10, 2016) and Claudia (Year 8, 2016).

Mr Dave Boardman has won the position of Senior School Principal. Dave is currently the Deputy Principal of John McGlashan College in Dunedin. He leads the IB programme and has a wealth of experience in developing innovative and holistic programmes for senior students. Dave also has a keen interest in sport and outdoor pursuits. He has represented Great Britain on a number of occasions in rifle shooting. Originally from the UK, Dave is a firm believer that strong, supportive and positive relationships between students and staff have the most profound impact on learning and achievement. Dave will also be joining the Kristin family with his wife Penny and their two children, Rachael (Year 8, 2016) and Heather (Year 4, 2016).

Both Principals will commence their roles in January 2016.
