Senior School students who serve on committees have the opportunity to directly influence the school. In the process, they learn meeting procedures, project management skills and collaborative strategies. To be selected for committees, Senior students need to demonstrate commitment, organisational skills, reliability, initiative and an ability to motivate others.
Responsible for fostering and supporting the arts in the Senior School and providing support in key performance events, festivals, productions and assemblies throughout the year.
Responsible for ongoing practical and social support he international and partner school exchange students. The committee also actively promotes and celebrates ethnic diversity in the school.
Tertiary Futures Committee
Responsible for the support and promotion of career-related activities for Senior School students, including building relationships with representatives from tertiary institutions and training providers and promoting scholarships and awards.
Events and Hosting Committee
Responsible for organising the Senior School Ball and for providing hosting at certain functions. All members of this committee complete a training workshop in host effectiveness.
Responsible for promoting and supporting activities which reflect service within and beyond the school community by Senior School students.
Responsible for the support of sporting events and the promotion of sport in the school. All members of this committee attend a two-day Sports Leadership course.
Responsible for managing the Year 13 Common Room and providing reception duties at the Senior School Office during lunchtimes.
Responsible for promoting activities that encourage reading and writing throughout the school.
Responsible for raising awareness of student well-being issues (social, emotional, health and spiritual) and promoting pathways for students to access well-being support.
