Sports Dinner 2017

A wonderful night was had to celebrate all that is good about Kristin sport. We were privileged to have Sir Graham Henry speak. Graham was interviewed by Jamie McInnes our Sports captain and Rory Sutherland our Head prefect. He acknowledged the obvious spirit and passion within the school as well as sharing some great stories from his All Black coaching days.

Major award winners:

Congratulations to Connor Greentree for claiming the coveted Firth Cup for best all-round Sportsperson for 2017. Connor has had a sterling year in sport, representing and leading Kristin in Hockey. Connor has also played 1st XI Football and represented the school in Athletics.

The Tournament trophy went to the Yachting team who placed 3rd in the NZ school’s finals. The team as ably led by captain Josh Berry: James Baker, Carrington Brady, Thomas Crook, Henry Elworthy, Ben Gentry, Jackson Keon and Jack Rush.

The Marge Scott Cup for the senior student who has made a significant contribution to leadership in sport went to Brice Zhang. Bruce has had an eventful 2017 in sport. However, it is his leadership and support for table tennis that has been most noteworthy. Congratulations Bruce a deserved winner.
