Season/Competition (Year 7-13)

The Secondary Schools' competition begins in Term 1 and continues in Term 4. Parents may be required to manage teams and attend games over the course of the season.

Kristin's competitive teams are in the following age groups: Junior (U14), Intermediate (U16) and Senior (U19), based on the student's age on 1 January of the current year. The selection of teams is based on both age and ability.

There are two options to play Inter-school Tennis for Kristin:

  • Auckland Secondary School Tennis Association organise a Saturday morning competition with the season running during Term 1 and Term 4, premier teams only.
  • There is also a Monday afternoon North Harbour Schools Competition with the season running in Term 1, and a new competition running in Term 4. This competition is run at Kristin, Pinehurst, and Albany Junior High School tennis courts. Cost $20 per player.

Professional coaching will be provided at a weekly training session after school, during the school season in Term 1 and 4. Students are expected to commit for the entire season when they register. A beginners programme is offered to new players to the sport in Year 7-13.

Uniform

Players will be required to wear the Kristin Sport shirt and either Kristin shorts or navy blue Tennis skort. The School tracksuit is compulsory for all students in school sports teams. Students are expected to attend all sporting events in their tracksuit.

Cost
