Congratulations to Year 10 students Annika Freitas, Ally McLaren and Oscar Wu, who were crowned champions of the Auckland Schools’ Debating Junior Championships at the University of Auckland over the weekend of 1-2 August. 

 

In a very close final against St Cuthbert's College, the team were declared champions by a unanimous vote! 

 

“This is truly an outstanding achievement! I think what is particularly special is that all three students have worked so hard over the past few years to hone their debating skills, and it is amazing to see that hard work pay off,” says Cameron Lacey, Head of Faculty – English.
