Information Services

Information Services at Kristin encompasses our Information Communication Technology (ICT) and Library teams, both of which are located upstairs in the Library Information Centre.

An important part of daily life at Kristin, ICT is integrated into the curriculum at every year level through our school-wide Digital Learning Programme. Our ICT team provides technical support for both students and staff and is available to field general enquiries from parents in relation to this programme.

Staff and students can access technical assistance from Boost, our ICT Helpdesk and Information System. By logging in to, users can register an IT issue and access online resources in the FAQ section. Alternatively, users can email their issue or question directly to Boost. Parents who require technical assistance should email ICT Services.

Our skilled and experienced Library team is passionate about books, reading and information. They care for our extensive library resources in both our Junior Library (The Hive) and Middle/Senior Library. The integration of our ICT and Library teams reflects the evolving nature of Information Services at Kristin. Recent developments to our library systems have enabled students to benefit from 24/7 access to the online library resources, including a growing range of eBooks and audio books. Students can simply login to to access our online library resources. Supporting this online evolution is our state-of-the-art fibre optic networking and a ubiquitous wireless network, developed to support the School's teaching and learning needs.

Digital Learning Programme

Kristin is renowned for integrating innovation and technology in teaching across all year levels. A key component in our digital learning programme is the ability to incorporate the latest advances in technology into the classroom and apply this to each student's individual learning requirements. Our agile programme is one that encourages flexibility and personalised learning and allows students to have control over their device, allowing greater ownership of their schoolwork and choices as to how they deliver their content.

Developing our students' ability to manage themselves safely and appropriately online is a key component of the digital learning programme, with digital citizenship being taught across all year levels of the school.

Below is a summary of the school-wide Digital Learning Programme for 2015:

  • Kindergarten-Year 3 – iPad Classroom Pods (the ratio is 3:1 students to devices)
  • Year 3 – Optional BYO Tablet
  • Year 4-6 – BYO-Tablet Programme
  • Year 7-10 – BYO-Laptop Programme
  • Year 11-13 – BYO-Device Programme
