We had three exceptional bands performing at the National Youth Jazz Festival held in Tauranga in early April. 

 

Our bands performing included Blue in Green, Kind of Teal and the Kristin Big Band, made up of talented musicians from across the Middle and Senior Schools and led by our amazing music teacher Mr Sam Swindells. 

 

All bands took to the stage for performances that were live-streamed for all to watch. Competing against many bands from schools all over the country, our students again did themselves and the school proud with some great performances.  

 

We are thrilled to announce that our students came away with some fantastic results, including:

 

Best Flautist – Dania Al Hakeem

Best Vocalist – Zoe de Boer

Silver Award – Kind of Teal

Bronze Award – Kristin Big Big Band

Bronze Award – Blue and Green
