Surf Lifesaving: Kristin students in fine form over the holidays
Over the holidays, Kristin Middle School students competed in the New Zealand Surf Life Saving Pool Rescue Championships 2019 which saw nearly 500 Swimmers from all over New Zealand compete at the National Aquatic Centre 11th-13th October.
Oscar Greenwood, Year 9, placed 1st, winning a gold medal in the U14 4x50m obstacle relay with his teammates from Mairangi Bay Surf Life Saving Club.
Eloise Raper, Year 8, also competed for Mairangi Bay and the U14 girl's team placed 4th in the 4x50m obstacle relay and placed 4th, narrowly missing out on bronze in the 4x50m medley relay.
Helena Thompson, Year 7, also competed in the individual and team events for Muriwai surf lifesaving club.
