Close Bonds Formed Through Exchange
The sports exchange with St George in 2011 saw a young rugby player hosted by a sport loving Kristin family. The relationship has since blossomed along with the rugby fortunes of Guido Petti Pagadizabal who has now played for both the Jaguares and the Argentinian national team, the Pumas. He played in the 2015 Rugby World Cup and now has 43 caps for Argentina.
The Hanham family has had three children through Kristin have all played hockey for Kristin, North Harbour and NZ age group teams, as well as their son, having also played rugby for Kristin, hosting Guido during the rugby exchange. Just last week Guido was part of the Jaguares team that defeated the Hurricanes in Wellington. The Hanham family flew down to support Guido who had a great game in the pack for the formidable Jaguares team that won 28-20.
