Junior School Principal

Role

Our current Junior School Principal has been appointed to an Executive Principal role in another leading Independent School. Consequently, an amazing opportunity has arisen for a charismatic and inspiring leader to join our Senior Leadership Team in Term 3, 2018. Our Junior School encompasses Years 1-6 with 450 students, alongside our newly opened Early Learning Centre and well-established Kindergarten. The role offers the opportunity to continue the successes of the Junior School while continually improving relationships within the wider school and Kristin community. This role reports to the Executive Principal and focuses on the strategic and operational management of the school in alignment with the Middle and Senior schools. The capability to lead a diverse team effectively and creatively, and contribute positively to the wider Senior Leadership Team is essential.

Experience needed

A strong and proven track record of innovation and educational excellence in Primary Education is essential for this role. You will have a passion for leading, motivating and developing people, a strong knowledge of curriculum and a focus on innovative student learning experiences. Kind and generous, you will have the proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with our students, staff, families, community, and prospective families. You will create a happy and positive environment, where children flourish with personalised care and attention and build a commitment to cultural diversity and understanding.

As a charismatic leader, you will have exceptional communication, time management and business skills along with strong financial management skills. Their capability to lead a diverse team effectively and creatively, and contribute positively to the whole school Senior Leadership Team is essential.

As this role oversees the operations of our Early Learning Centre and Kindergarten, knowledge of these early childhood education would be advantageous, but not essential.

ECE Teacher

  • Full-time, commencing mid-April 2018
  • Foundation staff member in new centre for 0-4 year olds
  • Located within Kristin School in Albany

Organisation

Nestled in the grounds of Kristin School, Little Doves Early Learning Centre is set to become a haven for exploration, learning and play for our very youngest children.

Set in stunning landscaped gardens, in an architecturally designed building, Little Doves ELC opens in April 2018, welcoming children from the age of 6 months. The centre will be licenced for 75, however will open with only 35 children to enable a smooth launch.

Professional, passionate and caring teachers will nurture children through the crucial early years, culminating with a seamless transition into our well-established Kindergarten at the age of 4. Here they will encounter a programme that continues to feed their natural curiosity while preparing them for success at school.

Little Doves ELC will share the beliefs and vision of the whole school, including a commitment to personalised care and attention within a secure and tranquil environment, and specialised staff dedicated to children's holistic education and wellbeing.

Role

We are seeking an experienced, full-time, Centre Administrator to work alongside the Centre Managers for our Kindergarten and Early Learning Centre. This is a fabulous opportunity for a passionate early childhood administrator to play an integral role at the heart of our centres, contributing to the day-to-day running and to the overall ethos of professional care. The administrator will be responsible for liaising with parents and families on a daily basis, and for managing and maintaining the administration systems of both the ELC and the Kindergarten using APT.

The role will commence 11 April 2017.

Experience needed

  • strong administration experience
  • advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office and Google docs
  • knowledge and prior experience using ECE software
  • common sense with the ability to multi task
  • highly organised, with great attention to detail 
  • customer focused with an empathy for children and families.
