Euphony win Gold at The Big Sing

We are delighted to celebrate the success of our Years 9-13 upper voices choir 'Euphony', who were awarded a coveted Gold Award at the National Final of The Big Sing.

The national final took place over three days in the Christchurch Town Hall and featured the top 24 secondary school choirs in the country. This success is a testament to months of dedication, collaboration and learning by every member of the choir, and we are extremely grateful to have David Squire and Juan Kim leading the choir, with Sarah Backhouse-Smith and Gina Murray as choir managers.

“The Big Sing Finale was a truly unforgettable experience, giving us the chance to perform on a national stage, hear outstanding choirs from around the country, and celebrate our shared passion for music. We were thrilled to be part of an event filled with supportive energy and remarkable musicianship. After months of rehearsals and preparation, Euphony was incredibly proud and honoured to be recognised as one of eight choirs to receive a Gold Award at this year’s Finale.” - Candice Zhong and Ada Zhang (Year 13 Euphony members).
