Year 6 Beach Day
Year 6 had a wonderful day at Long Bay Beach on Monday. Swimming, sandcastle competitions, cricket, football and frisbee were just a few of the activities on offer. It was a day full of fun, which helped to celebrate the end of an era for the Year 6 students time in the Junior School here at Kristin. The children were lucky enough to wrap up the day with a delicious edible treat from Mr Whippy, helping to cool them off. We are very thankful for all of our fantastic parent helpers who came along, and appreciate them braving the cold temperatures of the ocean, we wouldn’t have been able to do it without you.
Here is what some of the students had to say about their day:
- “I enjoyed swimming in the ocean and loved that we were able to pick what we wanted to do with our day, we didn’t have to follow a schedule which was great.” Bonnie Wang
- “I think it was cool swimming in the sea. It was great having a day off school at the beach, just what we needed!” Madeleine Loughton
- “I enjoyed the free choice and getting to do what you want when you want, the beach was awesome.” Daniel Martin
