Kindergarten at MOTAT
The Kindergarten has been busy learning about machines that move. Here at Kristin Kindergarten we believe that the best way to learn is through hands on experiences where the children are able to work collaboratively together. Where they can explore and test their working theories. Where children can problem solve and express themselves through different mediums. Today was no exception as we explored the interactive exhibitions at MOTAT. Here the children were able to explore all of the concepts that they have been looking at within the Kindergarten; the wedge, screw, wheel and axle, inclined plane, pulley and lever: the six simple machines that keep the world moving. Hands-on activities and fascinating objects took us on a journey of discovery, exploring how these amazing machines make our lives easier and learning the physics behind them. Here we found plenty of interactive activities allowing us to apply concepts to a real-life experiences. This hands-on approach was a fantastic way to end our term and our inquiry ‘The world of Technology’.
