Finley's French Blog
So far my exchange visit has been an amazing experience. I have gotten to meet many great new people and visit amazing buildings like the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe. Some of the many differences I have noticed is that everyone is CRAZY at driving in Paris, there is bread with every meal, which they love dipping in the most bizarre things like chocolate milk.
The school as well is very different. To start with there are two parts to the school, and for lunch they have to walk for 5 minutes to the other school where the canteen is. For lunch no one takes packed lunches, they all sit down and have a four course meal. The timetables seem to always be changing, some days I'll be at home and bed and Jonathan will be In class at school. The classes are also very different, there isn't much in the classes and there doesn't seem to be much student input, just teacher talking to the students. I have also noticed that a few English words have been mixed into the French language like stop and hello.
