Fencing

Kristin School offers a coaching programme on Tuesdays in the Roy Munn Gymnasium. Students may also Fence at various clubs within Auckland although 'team' selections are made through dedicated Kristin School training dates that are made available each year.

Local club information:

JF Fencing can offer Kristin students classes for beginners and advanced fencers in Year 3-13 on Saturday mornings throughout Terms 1-4 in the Roy Munn Gymnasium. There is also a Thursday evening class from 6.00 - 8.00pm for those fencers who have been fencing for a while and ready to take fencing to the next level representing Kristin School on the Secondary School events.

Uniform

Students to wear comfortable sport wear, court shoes are required for trainings. Students attending competitions representing Kristin are required to purchase a JF Fencing T-shirt. Every fencer is required to purchase their own gloves and chest protectors. Kristin Fencing Club provides Jackets, Masks and Foils.

Note: Fencers who are planning to compete are required to purchase their own equipment.

Training

Trainings are held on Saturday mornings in the Roy Munn Gymnasium. Sessions are held from 8.30 -9.30 am for Year 3 and 4 students and  9am-10.30 am for Year 5 and up.

Cost

Club fees ( Thursday and  Saturday )  costs are paid directly with JF  Fencing School. School  Trainings (Tuesday) and competition fees and costs will be managed through school accounts. For further information please email Judit.
