Congratulations to our sensational 1st XI Girls’ Hockey team, who claimed an incredible Silver medal in the Tier 1 Federation Cup in Whangārei during the recent tournament week.

 
After starting strongly with two comfortable victories, the team rebounded emphatically from a narrow midweek setback against Wellington Girls' College to sweep Palmerston North Girls' High School 5–0 and secure top spot in their pool.

In a thrilling semi-final against St Andrew’s College, the girls demonstrated incredible character, scoring twice in the final five minutes to claim a 2–1 victory.

Facing St Cuthbert’s College in the grand final, they pushed the opposition to the limit in a hard-fought 1–0 loss to claim national Silver medals.

A special milestone was also celebrated during the week as Head Prefect Ruby McKay played her 100th game for the 1st XI, joining teammate Taylor Waters in this prestigious club.
