As part of Kristin's commitment to progress the Department of School Relations has been developed to build Kristin's presence both within the school community and the wider community. Kristin School is a brand we are all proud of. Our name, our young heritage and our reputation as a world class school, need to be continually represented at the highest possible standard.
Through events, publications and campaigns, the School Relations Team focus on communicating our messages to various stakeholders; current and past students and parents, staff, the Board of Governors and prospective students and parents. We also ensure that Kristin is regularly represented in the local media, raising awareness of our brand and the successes of our students.
The development and administration of philanthropic activity is also a task of the School Relations Team, as are significant fundraising projects such as Capital Campaigns. Family Picnic
Our annual Family Picnic was held on the Auditorium Fields on Friday 5 March. Many families came along to enjoy this evening. We provided bouncy castles, hot rods, merry-go-rounds plus plenty of other entertainment. Families brought a picnic dinner or purchased food from the range of food stalls. New Parents' Dinners
All parents new to Krisitn this year will receive an invitation to one of our dinners which are held in the LIC Foyer. Each table is hosted by a Senior staff member giving all guests the opportunity to learn a little more about the school, meet other new parents and hear each of our three Principals speak about their own school. Dates are Monday 8 and Thursday 11 March and Wednesday 1 September.
The Glitter Ball for Parents and Friends
The Ball will be held on 14 August 2010 at the Hyatt Hotel, that means it's time to talk to your friends and organise your table of 10 or talk to your Class Coordinator and ask to join a table. Christmas Carol Service

Auditorium
Our annual Christmas Carol Service will be held in the Auditorium, families and friends are invited to attend and stay for coffee, tea and mince pies afterwards. The collection will be shared equally between Aged Concern and the Auckland City Mission.
This year we will be hosting our annual Reunion for past students who graduated in 1980,1985,1990,1995,2000 and 2005 on 13 October in the LIC Foyer. Invitations will be sent out to all alumni for whom we have a current address. If you would like to attend or know of someone who may be interested, please contact Allison Mackenzie. The Breast Cancer Research Trust, are dedicated to finding a CURE for Breast Cancer by 2018. An impressive goal. We joined in partnership with The Breast Cancer Research Trust for our recent Kristin Fashion Show (KFS). We were lucky to have ambassador Karen Walker as guest speaker at the KFS VIP Cocktail Party prior to the show.
The Breast Cancer Research Trust limited edition designer umbrellas were a sell-out at this VIP Cocktail Party. For those of you who missed out; there are still some available. Click here to download an order form.
The Kristin Giftstore Online - coming this year
Look out later this year for the Giftstore Online. By Term 4 you will be able to order our usual range of Christmas cakes, Preserves, Mini Mince Pies, Dove Shortbread and Giftbaskets etc.

The Kristin Kitchen
The Kristin Kitchen is a collection of our favourite recipes, put together by our own team of culinary experts. It is a keepsake for every Kristin student and a book which tells a timeless story about the Kristin family. This book has been an outstanding success with regular orders still coming in along with interest from other schools and charitable groups looking to replicate our success. Funds from the sale of the book will support the Building Greatness Campaign to develop new sporting facilities at Kristin. To order, click here.
Kristin Business Directory
In 2006 the School Relations Office published our very first Business Directory, an initiative designed to support the businesses owned and operated by Kristin friends and families. Proceeds from the sale of advertising went towards the new Turf and Aquatic Centre. Over 5000 friends and families of the school received this quality publication. We have now moved this directory to an online edition. This will be a permanent feature where friends of the school can advertise their business and include a link to their website.
