Student Leadership
The opportunity to learn and put into practice leadership skills is one of the most important aspects of the Senior School. Students who wish to assume a leadership role at Kristin must understand that in doing so, they are committing themselves to working for other people, rather than for their own personal glory.
Leadership at Kristin comes in many forms. Not all students are chosen for a Prefect role and there are many other opportunities to aspire to. Our promise is: if our students desire to lead, there will be a role for them.
"Being a leader in the Senior School is about holding doors open for others around the school. With a culture and attitude of service, eventually doors begin to be opened for you."
Lewis Fry, Head Boy 2010
Prefects
The Prefect team has an important role throughout the whole school community. They are responsible for helping set the tone amongst the student body and for maintaining and enhancing the culture of Kristin. Prefects are significant role models and as such are expected to demonstrate the values of the school in their daily lives as well as encouraging them in others. The Prefect team is exclusively drawn from Year 13 students.
