Orientation
On arrival, students are greeted by international staff, assisted with uniform and stationery, shown around the campus, counselled for course confirmation and introduced to academic deans and support staff. They are also introduced to student counsellors and buddies at a welcome lunch. Students will be provided with ongoing support from pastoral care staff and support staff throughout the year.
Peer Support
Each student is assigned an individual buddy to assist with their introduction to school life. There is also a committee of senior students who are responsible for supporting international and exchange students by providing orientation guidance, buddy and peer mediation programmes, as well as arranging social activities. They also provide ongoing mentoring support.
Student Leadership
The opportunity to learn and put into practice leadership skills is one of the most important aspects of Kristin School. Students who wish to assume a leadership role at Kristin must understand that in doing so, they are committing themselves to working for other people, rather than for their own personal glory.

International Peace Night Concert

Sports
The lessons learned by participating in sports are invaluable for personal development. It is also a great way to build relationships with peers.
Outdoor Education
Outdoor education experience through specialist classes and camps offer experience that will expose students to a broad spectrum of activities that will develop personal and social skills, environmental sustainability, risk management, problem solving, confidence, leadership and first aid.
There are also opportunities for students to see and visit parts of North Island.
Performing Arts
Excellent Music, Drama and Dance Programmes and annual performance events offer unique and enriching experience for every student who chooses to become part of a Performing Arts event at Kristin, whether in the spotlight or the wings, behind a microphone or the lighting desk.
Alumni
Now in our 38th year, we are proud to hear of the progress and successes of our past pupils and encourage them to send us updates and to stay in touch by attending our annual reunions. Following the success of our range of international Reunions held in 2009, we have now moved to form the official Kristin Alumni Association. We would now like to broaden our communications and invite more interaction between the school and our alumni through an official association.
