Overview

We use a product called FirstClass for our core digital collaboration platform. 

FirstClass, a product of OpenText, is used for staff and student email. It is also used as our primary Portal space for teaching and learning.

Parents can, with their children, view FirstClass and the digital communities it offers. Most courses and classes use FirstClass.

FirstClass is available on all school computers including laptops in the Middle School's Laptop Programme. Anyone can download the client for home use and Senior Students can download for their own devices.

Basic FirstClass Client Configuration for Kristin Access

1. Install, then run the FirstClass client on the home computer.
2. Click Advanced, then Setup... and in the Server: field enter ekristin.school.nz
3. Click Save
4. Enter their Kristin details for UserID and Password and click the Login button (Green arrow)
