Kristin Fashion Show

The Kristin Fashion Show is a student-run charity event held primarily to provide support for young people living with cancer. First held in 1998 by two students who had shared the loss of a close friend and classmate to cancer. Now in its 12th year, the 2010 show, was another highly anticipated event, with students modelling some of New Zealand's top labels it was a sell-out night. Some of New Zealand's leading designers showcased their current season fashions on the Kristin stage, including: Adrienne Winkelmann, Trelise Cooper, Lonely Hearts and many more. All proceeds from the night supported CanTeen, the Child Cancer Foundation and the Breast Cancer Research Trust.

This year Karen Walker, Ambassador for the Breast Cancer Research Trust was our guest speaker at the VIP Cocktail Party prior to the show. We welcomed the Trust to this annual fundraising event and fully support their dedication in finding a CURE for breast cancer by 2018.

The Department Store Raffle

Raffle tickets were on sale in the Retail Shop and at the VIP Cocktail Party on the night. Karen Walker drew the raffle at this event. The Department Store in Takapuna put together a fantastic raffle pack valued at $930.00 including vouchers from Karen Walker, Simon James, Blackbox, Stephen Marr, Lucy and the Powder Room and Marr Lab.

The Department Store is New Zealand's newest store for international and local designer fashion, including, just arrived Top Shop, beauty products and more. It is the brainchild of Karen Walker, Black Box and Stephen Marr.
