At the heart of Kristin's values is a belief that the best education does more than simply instil knowledge in the minds of students. By nurturing the mental, physical, emotional, spiritual and social well-being of our students at Kristin we enable them to grow and develop to their potential, while offering support in a safe and positive environment. Because the needs of our students differ between the age groups, each school is structured in a way to best support the needs of its students.
Seven Deans support our students in the Junior School. These skilled and experienced teachers oversee the well-being of students in their year level and are a point of contact for parents.
Kristin offers a purpose-built Wellness Centre that encompasses health, counselling, chaplaincy and attendance. The Well-Being team works in collaboration with students, staff and parents to enhance well-being at Kristin. We aim to create and maintain an environment where individuals can flourish and achieve their full potential.
Student Mentors and Mediators
The roles of Student Mentors and Peer Mediators offer support as well as service and leadership opportunities to students in the Junior School. Through these support roles students provide assistance on the playground, helping others to resolve differences, providing avenues for younger students to ask for help and acting as a role model for their peers.
An important branch of Information Services at Krisitn, our skilled and helpful ICT team is available to support students with queries relating to our Digital Learning Programme and BYO devices. ICT Services is located on the first floor of the Library Information Centre (LIC). Whilst on campus, students can visit during the school day. During Term Breaks, visits are welcome however appointments are necessary.

Four Houses encompass all students and teachers at Kristin and form a significant part of the Kristin culture. In the Junior School, House Captains are elected from the student body in Year 6 and these students lead their peers in fun and competitive activities, helping to develop a rich team culture throughout the school. The House spirit is most evident at school events such as Athletics, Swimming Sports and House Music.

From the point of enrolment, students remain in the same house throughout their time at the school. Where possible students are enrolled in the same House as their siblings/parents when a family history exists.
