Middle School Career Development

Career education and guidance at Kristin develops students' ideas from Junior through to Senior School with programmes specific to each level. In the Middle years students experience growth in their understanding of their own skills and abilities.

In Year 9 students are introduced to specific curriculum-based career activities which are designed to develop their self concept of career. The curriculum based programme is initiated with a targeted presentation and guest speaker.

Year 10 students complete Futureselves, a future focussed, personalised career inventory which helps build the links between skills and careers. The online programme concludes with completion of a workbook; exploring issues, setting goals and deciding on strategies.
