Elisabeth-von-Thadden Schule Exchange
Elisabeth-von-Thadden Schule is an independent, coeducational school with 800 students enrolled from 11 to 19 years of age. It has a very proud history dating from the 16th century and, as a leading school in the area, is highly regarded for its academic, performing and visual arts programmes.
The academic year extends from September until July, with examinations in April and June. The school day can begin at 7.50am and finishes according to individual timetables. A mid-day meal is served in the school dining room.
Heidelberg is a charming university town situated about 80 kilometres from Frankfurt's international airport, about one hour's drive. It is located on the Neckar River in the Rhein basin and is approximately two hours away from the Black Forest and popular skiing areas.
Kristin German Language students from Year 11 or12 are eligible for this exchange, in which they spend six weeks in Germany over the Christmas break.
