Head of Digital Learning Innovation

Role

This role is responsible for the leadership, guidance and direction of the School with regards to e-Learning and digital innovations.  You will be working with the teaching staff to develop and make recommendations for the use of electronic tools (software and hardware) to enhance teaching in the classroom. This role will require you to be curious about technology and positive in the influence to drive change across the school. You will be supporting teachers to optimise the use of their current technologies and have the flexibility to be creative and innovative, explore and research innovative practices and drive the changes to keep Kristin at the forefront of innovation in the classroom. This role reports through the Senior Leadership team and will be fully supported to realise a change for the future. 

Experience needed

  • You will be able to demonstrate knowledge and success of digital and e-Learning innovations from within the Education industry. Skills needed:
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders
  • Influencing skills to drive change and innovation
  • Analytical skills to evaluate technologies and make recommendations
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Good organisational skills to plan and set priorities to manage projects

Events Manager

Role

An opportunity has been created for an experienced Events Manager to join our Marketing and Advancement Team (comprising Marketing, Admissions, Advancement and Alumni) on a part-time basis. One of Kristin's strategic pillars is ‘leading an engaged community' and this role is vital to ensure high quality touch points with our parent constituency. The role will focus on organising and delivering a range of marketing driven engaging networking and social events spread throughout the school year. These 12-15 events per year range from 50 people to 1,500 and sit across three dimensions; School wide events, Major Fundraising campaigns and supporting our Kristin Family and Friends programme which includes working with volunteers.

This is an exciting and demanding new role that interacts with many parts of our internal school community and with external suppliers, and will appeal to high performing professionals looking for flexibility.  Reporting to the Director of Advancement, this role will work 25 hours per week, ideally Monday to Friday, however we are flexible for the right person. Hours can be school hours; however, the person needs the flexibility to work one or two evenings per term. This role is term time only (38 weeks of the year) so has the school holidays off. 

Experience needed

A strong track record of realising successful events, to a high quality and within budget. You will have:

  • event management experience
  • exceptional organisational skills
  • excellent time management 
  • the ability to build relationships quickly
  • strong budget management experience
  • sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Docs

Marketing and Communications Manager

Role

An opportunity has been created for an experienced Marketing and Communications Manager to join our Marketing and Advancement Team (comprising Marketing, Admissions, Advancement and Alumni). The role will focus on designing, developing and delivering on the marketing plan to support the School's strategic objectives and projects. The scope of the role includes marketing strategy, branding activity, communications (internal and external), social media, online presence, public relations and publications. Reporting to the Director of Advancement, this role will be vital to deliver on building Kristin's profile, brand awareness and competitive position.  This is a full-time position that will include working over school holidays.

Experience needed

A strong track record of creative marketing initiatives and results from the education or service industries. Knowledgeable in marketing, branding, public relations, communications and social media, this person will have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, strong relationship building skills, high energy and passionate about working in a team environment. The School uses google systems and experience with Adobe Photoshop and Indesign would be desirable. Assistant Principal - Junior School

Role

Due to the retirement of our long serving Assistant Principal, we are seeking an inspirational, creative and forward-thinking educator to join our experienced and highly effective Junior School Management Team.

The focus of the role is on student wellbeing for our 450 students from Year 0 to Year 6, working with the Deans to ensure the delivery of best-known contemporary practices in curriculum differentiation, behaviour management and pastoral care. Reporting to the Junior School Principal, you will work alongside the other Assistant Principal and Year Level Deans to support the running of the Junior School; including coordinating assemblies, overseeing budgets and promoting a high standard of uniform across the school.

Responsible for engaging with students and their families you will develop plans to ensure the students reach their full potential, as well as recruit and oversee Teacher Aides to support this process. As part of the wider School, you will be proactive in liaising with the Middle School to ensure a smooth transition into Year 7 and participate in meetings and committees across the school. This role will start January 2018.

Experience needed:

  • An outstanding educator with demonstrated leadership experience
  • Able to demonstrate a strong track record of innovation and educational excellence
  • Knowledgeable in pastoral care and differentiation for Junior School students
  • Passionate about the wellbeing of students and their potential
  • Extremely organised
  • Have strong interpersonal and communications skills.

Most importantly, the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate commitment to Kristin's values and its distinct motto to "Progress with Vision, Integrity and Love".  All applicants need to be NZ Registered Teachers with their current practising certificate, or the ability to gain this before the start date. Kristin offers the Primary Year Programme (PYP) as part of the International Baccalaureate, however training is provided it you have no previous experience
