Kauri Club
One group to whom the Kristin community will be eternally grateful are those foundation parents and friends who were instrumental in delivering the first Kristin School classroom in 1973 and whose commitment and vision has made a huge contribution to its growth and success today.
The Kauri Club was established as a way to acknowledge those individuals who have been associated with Kristin since its inception. This way, they always remain a part of the school, they can keep up with the school's development and remain in touch with each other.
In addition to those foundation parents, membership of Kristin's Kauri Club is extended to all past Board members and Principals plus parents, staff and friends whose service to the school exceeds twenty years.
Kauri Club Members - Official Guests at Openings
Members of the Kauri Club were invited to attend recent milestones in the school's history; the Official Opening of the Humanities and Commerce Building and the Opening of the Middle School Learning Centre. Our traditional welcomes generally include a Powhiri or Maori welcome, Haka or Poi Dances, musical or other cultural items by students, speeches from the Executive Principal and other invited guests followed by tours of the new facilities and refreshments afterwards.
More recently, members were invited to the Offical Farewell Assembly for Ted Berry and the end of year Senior Prizegiving.
The school is continually changing and developing and we know of all our families, the Kauri Club in particular value the opportunity to return to Kristin and watch our progress.
