Introduction to the Kristin Community

In 1974 it took a dedicated group of parents three months to fund and build the very first Kristin classroom. With 42 students on the roll, the Kristin dream had begun. We no longer ask our parents to help mow playing fields or build new clasrooms on their free weekends but we do invite them to continue to help build the dream and in so doing enjoy the rewards of being part of this special community.

Our families have the opportunity to make lifelong friends through the relationships they forge with other families during these school years. At Kristin we encourage our families to meet others and so become involved in a range of areas of school life, for example:

Classroom helpers, voluntary Librarians, assistants on school trips, camps and socials
Costumiers, back stage helpers or set builders for school productions
Sport managers, coaches and supporters
Class Coordinators, Friends of the Chapel, Homestay or Exchange Programme families
Fundraising committee volunteers through the Kristin Family & Friends
Connect with families of other cultures through the Kristin Family & Friends network
Alumni Reunions, helping us keep in touch with past students
New Parent Dinners, Graduation Dinner, Grandparents' Day and Our Family Picnic
Work experience, career advice or other business related projects
Financial support through donations, pledges, sponsorship, Gift in Kind or advertising on our website or in our publications.

If you are interested in making contact with those involved in any of the initiatives above or would like to discuss these or any other opportunities please contact Pamela Peryman, Director of School Relations on email or call, ext 2820.
