In 2005 the inaugural awards were made to the following recipients, who were competing and participating at a significantly high level in their chosen disciplines:
Greer McInnarney (Year 12) received $2500 to assist with her airfares to participate in the St. Michael’s Centennial Jamboree Hockey Tournament in Canada. Jason Yang (Year 7) received $1500 for competing in Dance competitions and for a year's Contemporary Dance tuition and exam fees. Rebecca Cheng (Year 5) received $1200 to pay for one year’s piano tutor fees.
In 2006, Eleanor Williams (Year 9) received $445 to attend a Drama summer school and Rachel Hare (Year 11) received $1000 to support her participation in a swimming competition in the South Island.
In 2007, Sophie Corbidge (Year 12) received $3000 towards participation in an international Triathlon event and Jonathan Feist (Year 10) received $4000 to assist in the purchase of a lathe and mill for Technology.
In 2008, Timothy Wyatt (Year 10) received $2,500 for an Under 16 Basketball competition in Australia, William Mushet (Year 11) $2000 also for a Basketball tour to Australia, Anthony Hobbs, $3500 in support of his Under 19 Football tour to Europe and Rose Williamson was awarded $2,500 to attend the World Cheerleading Champs in Florida. Janina Gould received $700 for English tutoring, Andrew Chen had his return airfare paid for the 2009 Future Problem Solving Conference in the USA and Celeste Yeung was given $500 towards the purchase of a piano for musical practice.
In 2009 David Liao and Cathy Zhang were awarded $1500 towards airfares to attend international leadership forums, Nathan Allen received $1500 towards airfares for the 2010 trip to Nepal, Caitlin Friedrichs was awarded $750 towards the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestral Summer School, and Zach Watson received $850 towards the 1st IX Cricket tour to Christchurch.
