About Scholarships
Some of the scholarships and awards on this page are available exclusively to Kristin students; others are available through partnerships for selected New Zealand schools including Kristin and many others are generally contestable. AIMES Award
To qualify for the AIMES Awards, recipients must have shown outstanding ability or potential in the areas of the arts, information technology, music, education, sport. Click here to read about the award and complete the entry form.
Aspire Scholarships
Kristin does not offer fees-based scholarships, however we do support the new government initiative called Aspire Scholarships. An Aspire Scholarship provides assistance for a low income family towards the costs of Private or Independent Secondary schooling. It will contribute up to $15 000 per year towards the fees of a Private or Independent school for the duration of a student’s attendance at this school. It will also include a yearly allowance of up to $1500 to cover course related costs.
When the programme begins in 2010, 50 scholarships will be available throughout the country in each of Years 9, 10 and 11. In 2011 and 2012, a further 50 scholarships will be available in Year 9.

Bank of New Zealand Scholarships
The BNZ has been the school's long-term bankers. Their provision of three scholarships valued at $1000.00 each and awarded to Year 12 students covers the aspects of academic, cultural and sporting excellence for students who show potential for future success. Benefitz Graphic Design Scholarship
Benefitz is pleased to offer an annual scholarship to Kristin students. The Scholarship, valued at $1000.00 will be awarded to a Year 13 student who has attained a high level of design achievement and shows potential for future success.Click here to read more and download an application form.
BreakOut Scholarship Database
The Funding Information Service (FIS) collects and distributes funding by way of three searchable databases: Fundview, BreakOut and CorporateCitizens. With a comprehensive list of scholarships for tertiary study, BreakOut is available through most public libraries and on request from the Director of Career Development Services. Health Scholarship Programme
The Health Scholarship Programme supports people living in the Waitemata region to undertake healthcare studies at an undergraduate level with an accredited NZ education provider. Click here to read more and download an application form.
Mike Pero Mortgages Foundation
The nationwide Mike Pero Mortgages Foundation Scholarship Programme is available to NZ residents aged 17 to 25 years who intend to emabrk on a recognised programme of full-time study at a NZ tertiary institution. Applications close on 26 August 2010. Click here for further information and the online form.
PwC Aspire Scholarship Programme 2010
Kristin is one of the participating schools in the PwC Aspire Scholarship Programme. Applications are invited this year from Year 13 students who have had consistent academic success throughout Year 13 and who have made a positive contribution to school and community life and who are intending ideally to study towards specific degrees in Commerce or combined Commerce and Law with a major in Accounting and Finance.

The Stafford-Bush family are committed supporters of Kristin and long-standing members of the school family. When, as a Year 11 student, Bobby Stafford-Bush was tragically killed in 2001, his family set in place a trust fund to provide scholarships for future students in any of Kristin's three schools. The grants are to provide Kristin students with educational opportunities they may otherwise have been unable to undertake and cover the complete range of curricular and co-curricular activities.
